Baked Teriyaki Chicken
When I cook in the evenings, I like to get experiment and use what I already have. I have also been trying to eat healthier. If you want an easy, healthy, and cheap recipe, it does not get much better than baked chicken and rice. Since I was craving teriyaki seasoning, I decided to get a little creative. Here is my recipe for Baked Teriyaki Chicken and Rice.
- Frozen chicken breasts
- White minute rice
- Teriyaki sauce
- Teriyaki seasoning
- Chinese seasoning
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Fill a glass oven tray with rice then add water. Place the chicken in rice. Sprinkle with seasoning, optional spices if desired. Then cover chicken and rice with Teriyaki sauce. Place in the oven and set the timer for 45 minutes. When it is done, bring it out and set it to cool for several minutes. To get some vegetables for this, I wrapped some asparagus in turkey bacon and set them in the oven along with the chicken. I just took it out a little bit sooner. I got the directions here.
This is a pretty simple meal, and I think it turned out delicious. I admit, the directions are not precise. I don’t make a habit of measuring, so feel free to adjust the measurements to suit your needs.
